Japan’s Galvanized Steel Coils Export in Sep Falls by 18%

Japan’s export quantity of steel coils products on all steel basis in September 2022 released on 31st by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) was 2,429 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t), down 18.3% from the same month last year for 3 months in a row.

Of these, that of ordinary coated steel coils products was 1,607 t/t, down 17.3% ditto for 3 months in a row. By main item, its export quantity was 781 t/t of hot-rolled steel coils, down 10.3% ditto for 3 months in a row, 243 t/t of steel plates, down 8.8% ditto for the frst time in 5 months, 152 t/t of galvanized steel sheets, down 34.5% ditto for 9 months in a row and 130 t/t of cold-rolled steel coils, also down 27.0% ditto for 4 months in a row.

By destination on all steel basis, that to Thailand was 372 t/t, down 14.6% ditto for 4 months in a row, that to Korea was 342 t/t, down 28.3% ditto for 3 months in a row, that to China was 301 t/t, down 30.8% ditto for 7 months in a row, that to Taiwan was 129 t/t, down 38.2% ditto for 9 months in a row, and that to the USA was 102 t/t, down 3.2% ditto for the frst time in 2 months.

Japan’s import quantity of ordinary steel products in September 2022 released on 31st by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) was 355 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t), being fat from the same month last year.

By main item, that of hot-rolled steel coils was 122 t/t, up 12.8% ditto for 5 months in a row, and that of galvanized steel sheets supplier was 85 t/t, up 17.8% ditto for 5 months in arrow. While, that of cold-rolled steel coils was 64 t/t, down 20.8% ditto for 8 months in row, and that of steel plates was 30 t/t, down 28.2% ditto for the frst time in 2 months.
